Terms of Service

This is a starting template for Scriven Labs, provided for transparency during our early-access period. It is not legal advice; please review and adapt it with qualified counsel before launch.

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Scriven Labs' websites, applications, and services (the "Service"). By joining the waitlist or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Scriven Labs provides a personal AI assistant that helps you recall and reason over your own work and, where enabled, supports team collaboration. Scriven Labs writes; it does not speak into meetings. Features may change as the product evolves.

3. Early access and waitlist

The Service is offered as an early-access preview. It is provided on an evolving basis, may contain errors, and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access.

4. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for maintaining the security of your credentials and any activity under your account.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
  • Do not connect data you are not authorized to access or share.

6. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the content and data you provide or connect ("Your Content"). You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service for you, such as processing Your Content to generate grounded, cited answers. Our handling of personal information is described in ourPrivacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content we provide, is owned by Scriven Labs and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding.

8. Third-party services

The Service may integrate with third-party services you choose to connect. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. AI-generated output may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scriven Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
